Why I Love Margaritaville Resort Orlando, My Honest Opinion

Why I Love Margaritaville Resort Orlando

I’ve stayed in and researched a lot of Orlando resorts over the years. From luxury golf communities to family-focused vacation resorts, there are plenty of excellent places to stay in Central Florida.

Yet every now and then, you come across somewhere that simply feels different.

For me, that’s Margaritaville Resort Orlando.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I still love communities such as Reunion Resort Villas and Encore Resort Villas. They offer some of the finest vacation homes in Orlando and continue to be incredibly popular with our guests.

But Margaritaville has something that many resorts don’t.

It has personality

I Love Margaritaville Resort Orlando Because It Feels Like a Real Vacation

One thing I’ve always noticed about Orlando is that some resorts feel like a place to sleep rather than a place to spend your holiday.

You wake up.

You drive to Disney.

Drive to dinner.

And then drive back to your villa.

Repeat.

Margaritaville feels completely different.

The tropical landscaping, colourful architecture and relaxed atmosphere make it feel like you’ve escaped to a Florida beach town rather than a resort community near Disney World.

The moment you arrive, the pace seems to slow down.

For me, that’s a huge part of its appeal.

I Love Margaritaville Resort Orlando Because of Sunset Walk

If I had to pick my favourite thing about Margaritaville, it would probably be Sunset Walk.

I honestly think it’s one of the most underrated entertainment districts in Orlando.

One of the biggest advantages of staying at Margaritaville is that when the parks close, your holiday doesn’t have to end.

You can simply walk to dinner.

Walk to a bar.

Listen to live music.

Grab an ice cream.

Watch people enjoying their evening.

There aren’t many Orlando villa communities where you can do all of that without getting back in the car.

For me, that makes a huge difference.

Visitors can learn more about Sunset Walk and see why it has become such a popular destination for both tourists and locals.

I Love Margaritaville Resort Orlando Because of Ford’s Garage

I know this might sound like a strange reason to love a resort, but hear me out.

One of my favourite places to eat near Margaritaville is Ford’s Garage.

Ford’s is not trying to be a Michelin-starred restaurant.

It’s not trying to be fancy.

It’s simply good food in a fun atmosphere.

After spending all day walking around Disney World, sometimes all you want is a great burger, a cold drink and somewhere relaxed to sit down.

Ford’s Garage delivers exactly that.

Better still, it’s within easy walking distance.

No traffic.

Theres No parking.

No stress.

Those little conveniences can make a holiday so much more enjoyable.

I Love Margaritaville Resort Orlando Because of Island H2O Water Park

One thing that often gets overlooked is the fact that Island H2O Water Park is right next door.

Families often feel pressured to spend every day at Disney or Universal.

Personally, I don’t think that’s necessary.

Some of my favourite Orlando holidays have included slower days where we’ve done something completely different.

Island H2O gives families another option.

Instead of another queue, another park reservation and another 20,000 steps, you can simply enjoy a fun day at a water park.

For families staying a week or longer, I think that’s a massive bonus.

I Love Margaritaville Resort Orlando Because It’s Close to Disney

Location matters.

A lot.

One reason guests often compare Luxury Villas Near Disney, Family Villas Near Disney World and Villas Near Disney World Orlando is because nobody wants to spend hours travelling to the parks.

Margaritaville offers the best of both worlds.

You’re close enough to enjoy Walt Disney World every day, but far enough away to escape the crowds when you want to relax.

For me, that’s the sweet spot.

I Love Margaritaville Resort Orlando Because There Is So Much Nearby

Another thing I love is the location on the US192 corridor.

The 192 is packed with restaurants, shopping, attractions and entertainment.

If you fancy a steak one night, you’ll find one.

If you want breakfast before Disney, you’ll find dozens of options.

Need a supermarket?

No problem.

Fancy mini golf?

Take your pick.

One of the reasons I recommend Margaritaville so often is because you’re never short of things to do.

I Love Margaritaville Resort Orlando Because It Appeals to Everyone

Some Orlando resorts are clearly aimed at one type of traveller.

Others are almost entirely family-focused.

What I like about Margaritaville is its flexibility.

Families enjoy it.

Couples enjoy it.

Groups of friends enjoy it.

Grandparents travelling with children and grandchildren enjoy it.

That’s actually quite rare.

The combination of villas, restaurants, entertainment and location gives it broad appeal.

You can simply stroll over, enjoy your meal and walk back afterwards. I Love Margaritaville Resort Orlando Because of the Orlando Slingshot

This might not be for everyone, but one of my all-time favourite attractions in Orlando is the Slingshot.

I ride it every single time I visit Orlando.

No matter how many times I do it, I still get the same adrenaline rush. The moment you’re launched into the air at incredible speed is something I’ll never get tired of. It’s one of those attractions that instantly becomes a holiday memory.

I know most visitors focus on Disney World and Universal Orlando, but Orlando has so many other incredible experiences beyond the theme parks, and for me the Slingshot is right at the top of that list.

I Love Margaritaville Resort Orlando Because of the Colourful Neighbourhood

One thing that’s difficult to explain until you’ve actually visited is the atmosphere around Margaritaville.

The entire area has a colourful, tropical aesthetic that immediately puts you in holiday mode. The bright buildings, palm trees, outdoor dining areas and lively surroundings create a completely different feeling from many traditional Orlando resorts.

Some communities feel a little generic. Margaritaville doesn’t.

It has character.

also It has personality.

It has a fun, laid-back vibe that makes you feel like you’re on vacation from the moment you arrive.

For me, that’s one of the biggest reasons I keep coming back to it.

Another reason I enjoy Margaritaville so much is that there is always something happening nearby.

Whether it’s restaurants, live entertainment or family activities, you’re never short of options. I particularly enjoy the bowling alley and arcade at Sunset Walk. It’s the perfect place to spend an evening, especially if you’re travelling with family or friends.

Some nights you might want a nice meal.

Other nights you might fancy a few games in the arcade or a game of bowling.

The beauty of Margaritaville is that you don’t need to travel far to find entertainment. It’s all right there on your doorstep.

The road is packed with things to do. Whether you’re looking for mini golf, breakfast restaurants, family dining, sports bars, steakhouses or somewhere for a late-night snack, you’ll find it somewhere along the 192.
