Every EPCOT World Showcase Country Ranked (2026)
Every EPCOT World Showcase Country Ranked (In My Opinion)
This guide will show Every EPCOT World Showcase Country Ranked. After visiting EPCOT many times over the years, I’ve spent countless hours exploring every country around World Showcase Lagoon. This is my personal ranking of every EPCOT World Showcase country based on atmosphere, food, attractions, entertainment, authenticity and how excited I am to visit each pavilion every single holiday.
Whenever someone asks me what my favourite Disney park is, I nearly always answer EPCOT.
Most people immediately think of the rides.
I think about World Showcase.
I honestly believe it’s one of the greatest themed areas Disney has ever built.
Within a few hours you can walk through eleven different countries, eat authentic food from around the world, listen to live entertainment, experience different cultures and still finish the evening watching one of Disney’s spectacular nighttime shows.
The older I’ve become, the more I’ve appreciated World Showcase.
When I was younger, I rushed straight to Test Track or Soarin’.
Now, some of my favourite memories are simply wandering around the lagoon with no particular plan.
Stopping for lunch.
Watching a performance.
Browsing the shops.
Or sitting beside the water taking in the atmosphere.
That’s what makes EPCOT so special.
If you’re planning your own Orlando holiday, I’d also recommend staying in one of our Luxury Orlando Vacation Homes or Luxury Villas Near Disney World. EPCOT is one of those parks where you’ll happily spend an entire day walking, eating and exploring, so returning to one of our Private Pool Villas Near Disney World afterwards makes the day even better.

How I Ranked Every EPCOT World Showcase Country
Ranking every EPCOT World Showcase country wasn’t simply about choosing where I like to eat. Instead, I looked at the complete experience each pavilion offers, because that’s what makes World Showcase one of my favourite places anywhere in Walt Disney World.
When deciding my rankings, I considered six things.
Food
Good food can completely change your day at EPCOT.
Restaurants like Via Napoli, Teppan Edo and San Angel Inn have become traditions on my Orlando holidays, which is one of the reasons you’ll see several countries ranking highly.
If you’ve already read my guide to My Top 11 Disney World Restaurants, you’ll probably recognise quite a few of these.
Atmosphere
Some countries immediately transport you somewhere else.
Mexico feels completely different from Germany.
Japan feels completely different from France.
Disney’s Imagineers have done an incredible job making each pavilion feel authentic.
For me, atmosphere was almost as important as the attractions.
Authenticity
I’ve been fortunate enough to travel to countries like France and Japan.
One thing I really appreciate is how much effort Disney has put into making each pavilion feel believable.
The Cast Members.
The music.
The architecture.
Even the small details all help create an immersive experience.
Attractions
Although World Showcase isn’t famous for thrill rides, attractions still matter.
Frozen Ever After.
Gran Fiesta Tour.
Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along.
Reflections of China.
Each pavilion offers something slightly different.
Entertainment
One thing I love about EPCOT is that something is always happening.
Live musicians.
Street performers.
Cultural demonstrations.
Acrobats.
Traditional performances.
These little moments make every walk around World Showcase feel different.
How Excited I Am to Visit
This was probably the biggest factor.
Every Orlando holiday, there are certain countries I naturally find myself looking forward to more than others.
Those are the countries that rose towards the top of my rankings.
11. The American Adventure – Great Entertainment but Doesn’t Feel as Unique
The American Adventure is home to one of EPCOT’s best live performances, but compared to the other countries around World Showcase, it doesn’t feel quite as unique. That’s the main reason it finishes eleventh in my ranking of every EPCOT World Showcase country.
Don’t get me wrong.
I still enjoy walking through America.
The pavilion is beautifully built.
The gardens are lovely.
And the architecture is incredibly impressive.
The problem is that every other pavilion allows me to experience a completely different culture.
America, naturally, doesn’t give me that same feeling.
What I Like About The American Adventure
One thing I do enjoy is how spacious the pavilion feels.
It’s often much quieter than neighbouring countries, making it a nice place to slow down for a few minutes.
The building itself is also stunning.
It’s impossible not to admire the craftsmanship that went into creating it.
Don’t Skip Voices of Liberty
If there’s one thing I always recommend here, it’s Voices of Liberty.
They’re genuinely one of the most talented vocal groups anywhere in Walt Disney World.
Every performance feels effortless.
The acoustics inside the rotunda are incredible, and even if you’re only passing through, it’s worth stopping for a few minutes.

10. China – Beautiful but I Spend Less Time Here
China is one of the most visually impressive countries in World Showcase, but I probably spend less time here than almost any other pavilion. While I always enjoy walking through it, I rarely stay as long as I do elsewhere.
The first thing you’ll notice is the incredible Temple of Heaven.
It’s absolutely stunning.
Every visit I find myself taking photographs because it’s one of the most impressive buildings anywhere around the lagoon.
The pavilion also feels wonderfully open.
There are beautiful gardens.
Interesting shops.
And some lovely quiet corners away from the crowds.
The Temple Is Incredible
The Temple of Heaven dominates the entire pavilion.
Every detail has been recreated beautifully.
It’s easily one of my favourite buildings in EPCOT and one of the most photographed locations around World Showcase.
Why I Usually Just Walk Through
The biggest reason China sits tenth isn’t because I dislike it.
Far from it.
I simply find myself spending longer in other countries.
I normally browse the shop.
Take a few photographs.
Appreciate the architecture.
Then continue my walk around the lagoon.
That’s probably why it finishes slightly lower than some of the other pavilions.

9. Norway – Frozen Brings This Pavilion to Life
Norway might be one of the smallest countries around World Showcase, but Frozen Ever After has transformed it into one of EPCOT’s busiest and most popular pavilions.
I still remember visiting before Frozen arrived.
The pavilion felt much quieter.
Now it’s one of the first places many families head after entering World Showcase.
Personally, I think Frozen Ever After is a fantastic family attraction.
It’s beautifully themed and fits surprisingly well within the Norway Pavilion.
Every EPCOT World Showcase Country Ranked: is Frozen Ever After Is Worth Riding?
Whether you’re a Frozen fan or not, it’s a lovely attraction.
The animatronics are some of Disney’s best.
The music is fantastic.
And it’s another reminder of just how well Disney tells stories.
Norway Feels Smaller Than Many Other Countries
The only reason Norway doesn’t rank higher for me is its size.
Compared to countries like France, Japan or Mexico, there’s simply less to explore.
Even so, I always enjoy walking through it and nearly always stop to admire the incredible architecture before continuing my journey around World Showcase.

8. Morocco – The Most Beautifully Designed Pavilion in EPCOT
Morocco is one of the most visually stunning countries in World Showcase. Although I don’t spend as much time here as I do in some of my favourite pavilions, I always make a point of walking through its winding streets because the architecture is absolutely incredible.
One thing that makes Morocco so special is how authentic it feels.
Unlike some of the other countries, Morocco feels like a maze waiting to be explored.
There are hidden alleyways.
Quiet courtyards.
Beautiful mosaics.
Detailed archways.
It’s one of those pavilions where you should slow down rather than simply walk straight through.
Every time I visit, I seem to discover another corner I’ve somehow missed before.
Why Morocco Feels So Authentic
Disney paid incredible attention to detail here.
Every building.
Every doorway.
Every fountain.
Everything feels incredibly believable.
It’s probably one of the best examples of Disney Imagineering creating an environment that completely transports you somewhere else.
If you enjoy photography, Morocco is also one of the best countries around World Showcase for taking pictures.
Why I Don’t Spend Longer Here
The only reason Morocco doesn’t rank higher for me is because I naturally spend more time eating and exploring in some of the other countries.
It’s somewhere I always enjoy walking through.
But I rarely find myself stopping for long periods like I do in Mexico, Italy or France.
Even so, it’s easily one of EPCOT’s most underrated pavilions.

7. Canada – Beautiful, Peaceful and Often Overlooked
Canada is one of the quietest countries around World Showcase, and that’s actually one of the reasons I enjoy it so much. It’s beautifully landscaped, incredibly relaxing and a lovely place to escape some of the busier areas of EPCOT.
I think Canada often gets overlooked.
People tend to walk through quickly on their way to the United Kingdom.
I always take my time.
The gardens are beautiful.
The waterfalls are lovely.
And the whole pavilion feels incredibly peaceful.
It’s one of those places where I naturally slow my pace.
The Gardens Are Absolutely Stunning
The landscaping throughout Canada is fantastic.
Disney has done an incredible job recreating the feeling of Canada’s national parks.
There are rocky pathways.
Flowing waterfalls.
Beautiful flowers.
And fantastic viewpoints.
It’s one of my favourite places in EPCOT just to sit down for a few minutes and enjoy the surroundings.
Why Canada Keeps Climbing My Rankings
Every visit, I seem to appreciate Canada a little more.
It’s not because of one specific attraction.
It’s simply because it feels relaxing.
Sometimes that’s exactly what you need during a busy day at EPCOT.

6. Germany – Great Food and Fantastic Entertainment
Germany is one of the most enjoyable countries around World Showcase because there’s always something happening. Between the fantastic food, brilliant atmosphere and live entertainment, it’s somewhere I always stop during every EPCOT visit.
Germany has such a welcoming atmosphere.
The central square always feels lively.
There’s usually music playing.
People are enjoying food outside.
And the entire pavilion feels full of energy.
It’s impossible to walk through without smiling.
Biergarten Is One of My Favourite Restaurants in EPCOT
If you’ve read my guide to My Top 11 Disney World Restaurants, you’ll know that Biergarten comfortably made the list.
I absolutely love eating here.
The live German band.
The buffet.
The huge selection of food.
The beer.
It all combines to create one of the most entertaining dining experiences anywhere at Walt Disney World.
It’s one of those restaurants where you’re not just eating.
You’re enjoying an experience.
Germany Always Feels Lively
One thing I really enjoy is simply sitting in the square and watching people explore.
The pavilion has fantastic energy.
Whether you’re browsing the shops, listening to music or heading into Biergarten, there’s always something happening.
That’s one of the reasons Germany continues to climb my personal rankings.

5. United Kingdom – Feels Like Home, Yet Still Special
The United Kingdom Pavilion might represent home for me, but I still absolutely love spending time here. Disney has recreated a charming British village that’s full of character, beautiful gardens and one of my favourite pubs in EPCOT.
It’s funny walking around the UK Pavilion.
Some parts feel incredibly familiar.
Others feel almost exaggerated in that classic Disney way.
But somehow it works.
The gardens are immaculate.
The red telephone boxes always make people stop for photographs.
And the whole area feels relaxed.
It’s somewhere I nearly always spend longer than I planned.
Every EPCOT World Showcase Country Ranked: The Rose & Crown Is Always Worth Visiting
Whether I’m stopping for a drink or simply enjoying the atmosphere outside, I always like visiting the Rose & Crown.
It’s one of the nicest places to sit and watch people wandering around World Showcase.
The outdoor seating area also becomes a fantastic place during the evening as World Showcase starts to light up.
The Gardens Make This Pavilion Feel Different
One of my favourite things about the UK Pavilion is simply wandering through the gardens.
They’re beautifully maintained.
Usually fairly quiet.
And a lovely place to escape the crowds for a few minutes.
It’s another reminder that World Showcase isn’t just about rides or restaurants.
Sometimes the best moments come from simply slowing down and appreciating the incredible detail Disney has put into every pavilion.

My Rankings So Far
| Rank | Country | My Rating |
|---|---|---|
| 5 | United Kingdom | 9.4/10 |
| 6 | Germany | 9.2/10 |
| 7 | Canada | 9.0/10 |
| 8 | Morocco | 8.9/10 |
| 9 | Norway | 8.8/10 |
| 10 | China | 8.7/10 |
| 11 | The American Adventure | 8.5/10 |
Looking at the rankings so far, one thing becomes obvious: the top four countries are the ones where I consistently spend the most time on every visit. They’re the pavilions I actively look forward to, whether it’s because of the food, the atmosphere or simply the feeling of being transported somewhere completely different. Those are the countries that have become traditions on every Orlando holiday.
4. Japan – Incredible Food, Shopping and One of My Favourite Restaurants in Disney
Japan has everything I look for in an EPCOT pavilion. Fantastic food, beautiful architecture, brilliant shopping and one of my favourite restaurants in all of Walt Disney World. It’s a country I visit every single time I’m at EPCOT, which is why it comfortably takes fourth place in my ranking of every EPCOT World Showcase country.
I’ve been fortunate enough to visit Japan in real life, and that’s one of the reasons I appreciate this pavilion so much.
Disney has done an incredible job recreating the atmosphere.
From the moment you walk through the towering pagoda, it feels completely different from the countries around it.
The gardens are immaculate.
The buildings are beautiful.
The background music is calming.
It’s somewhere I naturally slow down and enjoy exploring.
Teppan Edo Never Disappoints
If you’ve read my guide to My Top 11 Disney World Restaurants, you’ll know that Teppan Edo ranks incredibly highly.
It’s one of those restaurants I always try to book before travelling.
Watching the chefs cook right in front of you is brilliant entertainment.
The food is consistently excellent.
And every meal feels like an event rather than simply somewhere to eat.
Having visited Japan myself, I was genuinely impressed with how authentic the whole experience feels.
Japan Has the Best Shopping in World Showcase
Even if you’re not planning to eat here, don’t miss the Mitsukoshi Department Store.
I honestly think it’s the best shop anywhere in EPCOT.
You can spend ages browsing:
- Japanese snacks
- Pokémon merchandise
- Anime collectibles
- Kitchenware
- Stationery
- Traditional gifts
Every visit I seem to leave with something I wasn’t planning to buy.
3. France – Amazing Food and Incredible Atmosphere
France is one of the countries I spend the longest in during every EPCOT visit. Between the incredible restaurants, fantastic bakery and beautiful Parisian streets, it’s somewhere I never get tired of exploring.
Walking into France feels like arriving in a completely different city.
Disney has recreated the atmosphere brilliantly.
The architecture.
The cafés.
The fountains.
The music.
Everything works together to create one of the most immersive countries around World Showcase.
It’s also one of my favourite places to simply sit with a coffee and watch people walking past.
Every EPCOT World Showcase Country Ranked: Chefs de France Is Always One of My First Reservations
One restaurant I never miss is Chefs de France.
It comfortably made my list of My Top 11 Disney World Restaurants.
Every visit I normally order:
- French Onion Soup
- Goat’s Cheese Flatbread
Simple.
Authentic.
And consistently brilliant.
Having travelled around France, I genuinely think Disney has captured the atmosphere incredibly well.
Don’t Leave Without Visiting the Bakery
The bakery in France is another must-visit.
Whether you’re looking for:
- Fresh pastries
- Coffee
- Sandwiches
- Cakes
- Macarons
It’s one of the best places in EPCOT for a mid-afternoon break.
Sometimes I don’t even buy anything.
I simply enjoy sitting outside and soaking up the atmosphere.

2. Italy – Home to My Favourite Pizza Anywhere in Disney
Italy finishes second in my ranking of every EPCOT World Showcase country because it combines incredible architecture with what I genuinely believe is the best pizza in Walt Disney World. Every visit includes lunch here without fail.
If someone asked me where I’d eat if I could only choose one EPCOT restaurant…
I’d probably say Via Napoli.
It’s become one of my biggest Orlando traditions.
Every holiday.
Without fail.
My brother and I order exactly the same thing.
The half-metre pizza.
Usually pepperoni or the meat feast.
It arrives on an enormous serving board and never fails to impress.
Via Napoli Is Worth Visiting Every Single Holiday
The pizza here is genuinely exceptional.
One of the waiters once explained to me that they even use water and ingredients chosen to recreate authentic Neapolitan pizza as closely as possible.
Whether that’s why it tastes so good or not…
I honestly don’t know.
But I do know it’s one of my favourite meals anywhere in Florida.
If you’ve never eaten here before, I’d strongly recommend booking a reservation.
Every EPCOT World Showcase Country Ranked: why Italy Feels Like a Proper European Piazza
Outside the restaurant, Italy is simply beautiful.
The central square.
And the fountains.
The musicians.
The architecture.
It all feels incredibly elegant.
It’s another pavilion where I naturally end up spending much longer than I originally planned.

1. Mexico – My Favourite Country in EPCOT
Mexico is, without question, my favourite country in World Showcase. Every time I walk inside the pyramid, I still get exactly the same feeling I had on my very first visit. It’s one of Disney’s greatest achievements and comfortably takes the number one spot in my ranking of every EPCOT World Showcase country.
I honestly don’t think there’s anywhere else quite like it.
From the outside, the giant pyramid immediately grabs your attention.
Then you step inside.
Suddenly…
It’s night-time.
The lanterns are glowing.
The marketplace is bustling.
The smell of Mexican food fills the air.
Boats quietly drift past on the Gran Fiesta Tour.
It’s one of the most immersive environments Disney has ever created.
I could happily spend hours inside.
Why Mexico Always Comes First
Everything I love about EPCOT comes together here.
Fantastic restaurants.
Brilliant atmosphere.
Great attractions.
Excellent drinks.
Beautiful theming.
Every visit usually follows exactly the same pattern.
I’ll ride Gran Fiesta Tour.
Browse the marketplace.
Have dinner at either San Angel Inn Restaurante or La Hacienda de San Angel.
Then finish the evening with a margarita before finding a spot for the fireworks.
It’s become one of my favourite traditions.
Every EPCOT World Showcase Country Ranked: San Angel Inn Is One of Disney’s Most Beautiful Restaurants
I’ve mentioned San Angel Inn many times before, and that’s because I genuinely think it’s one of the most unique restaurants anywhere at Walt Disney World.
Eating beside the water while boats quietly float past underneath the Mayan pyramid never gets old.
The atmosphere is unlike anything else in Disney.
The enchiladas are always my go-to choice.
And if I fancy something different later in the evening, La Hacienda de San Angel offers fantastic food, brilliant margaritas and wonderful views across World Showcase Lagoon.
Those two restaurants alone would make Mexico one of my favourite countries.
Everything else simply confirms why it deserves the number one spot.
Gran Fiesta Tour Is the Perfect Way to Escape the Florida Heat
Although it’s a relatively gentle attraction, I absolutely love Gran Fiesta Tour.
It’s relaxing.
Air-conditioned.
Full of Disney charm.
And one of those rides I never skip.
Combined with the incredible atmosphere inside the pyramid, it perfectly sums up why Mexico is my favourite pavilion in EPCOT.
Every single Orlando holiday begins and ends with a visit here, and I honestly can’t imagine walking around World Showcase without spending time inside that incredible pyramid.
