why choose reunion resort for your Orlando holiday
Growing up, Orlando was everything. Every year without fail, our family would make the trip and every single time the excitement in that car from the airport never got old.
We stayed in so many different places over the years and honestly most of them blur into one. Fine hotels, decent pools, breakfast buffets. Nice enough but nothing you would ever really talk about.
Reunion Resort was different from the moment we arrived.
A Private Villa That Feels Like Home
I think the biggest thing that gets you is the space. You are not in a hotel room, you are in an actual house. A beautiful one.
Private pool out the back, a proper kitchen, room for everyone, and a garden to actually sit in at the end of the day. After years of hotel corridors and connecting rooms, it felt like a completely different kind of holiday. The kind where you actually relax rather than just recover.
The perks of staying in these villas genuinely catch you off guard too. You expect a nice house with a pool and that would already be enough, but then you discover there is a full arcade room inside.
The villa arcade — one of those perks you genuinely do not see coming
That scoreboard says 295 and I am not going to pretend I was not proud of that. After a full day in the parks, slightly sunburned and full of food, walking downstairs in your own villa and spending an hour being completely ridiculous on the arcade machines is not something you see coming. The kids lost their minds and honestly so did we. It is one of those little extras that takes an already incredible villa and makes it feel like you have genuinely won at holidays.
The Perfect Location for Orlando’s Theme Parks
The location of Reunion Resort is one of its biggest selling points for families visiting the parks.
Reunion sits just ten minutes from Walt Disney World’s main entrance. Ten minutes. We used to spend half a morning navigating across Orlando just to get to the parks. Now it is a short easy drive and you are there.
When you are done for the day you are back at the villa before the kids have even finished arguing about what they want for dinner. The same applies for Universal Studios, SeaWorld and everything else Orlando has to offer.
World Class Golf on Your Doorstep
The view from the course — better than anything you’d expect from a resort
I took that photo standing on the course and I still think about it.
Reunion Resort is home to three championship courses designed by three of the greatest names in the game. Tom Watson, Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer each have a signature course here, all in immaculate condition.
The fairways are beautifully maintained and the elevation changes genuinely surprise you for Florida. I played a round one afternoon after a morning at the Magic Kingdom and it was one of the best days of the whole trip.
That combination of theme parks and world class golf in one resort just does not exist anywhere else in Orlando.
Sunsets You Will Never Forget
A typical evening at Reunion — fire going, golf course in the background, nowhere else you would rather be
This was one of those evenings where nobody really wanted to go inside.
Fire going, chairs pulled up, golf course stretching out in the background and that Florida sky just doing absolutely everything. We sat out here most evenings after the parks. Nobody on their phone, no rushing anywhere, just the family together winding down.
It sounds simple but honestly those moments ended up being some of my favourite parts of the whole holiday.
Evening Walks Through the Resort
The resort at golden hour — it genuinely does not feel real
I took this on one of our evening walks around the resort and I think it captures it perfectly.
That warm glow in the sky, the grand villas all lit up, palm trees everywhere and complete quiet. We would walk the resort most evenings after dinner and it became one of those unplanned traditions that you end up looking forward to more than anything.
There is a real beauty to Reunion when the day settles down and you have time to actually take it in.
Is Reunion Resort Worth It?
Reunion Resort just gets it right in a way that most places do not.
The villa, the golf, the evenings around the fire pit, the walks, the arcade, the ten minute drive to Disney every morning. It all adds up to something that feels genuinely special rather than just expensive.
We have been back more than once and we will keep going back. If you are planning an Orlando trip and you have not looked at Reunion, look at Reunion.
